Privacy Policy

This policy explains what AaradhyaHub collects when you book a pooja, why we collect it, and the choices you have.

1. Information you give us

• Account details — your name and mobile number. An email address and date of birth are optional; you can sign in with an SMS code instead of a password.
• Profile photo, if you choose to upload one.
• Booking details — the pooja, pandit, date and time you choose, and the address where a home visit should take place.
• Anything you write in "additional requirements" on a booking. Some rituals are performed for a named person, and the pandit may need their name, gotra or birth details to perform it as asked. If you enter details about someone other than yourself, please make sure they are content for you to share them — we pass them to the pandit performing the ritual and use them for nothing else.
• Messages you send us through the contact form.
• Reviews you write about a pandit, which are shown publicly with your name once approved.

2. Information created as you use the service

• Wallet and transaction records — recharges, booking payments, refunds and any corrections made by our team, each with a description.
• Verification status — whether your phone number and email have been confirmed.
• Reminder preferences — the vrats and festivals you have asked to be reminded about, and whether you want those reminders by WhatsApp or email.
• Records of what we sent you — the booking confirmations, reminders and verification codes we sent to your number or address, including the message text, so we can show what was sent and when.
• Usage data — which pages you visit and which actions you take on the site, collected through Google Analytics. See section 5.
• Technical logs — requests to our servers, kept to keep the service working and secure.

3. How we use it

• To create and secure your account, and to verify it's really you.
• To arrange bookings and share the details a pandit needs to perform your pooja.
• To take payments and maintain your wallet balance.
• To send booking confirmations, verification codes, reminders you asked for, and replies to your enquiries.
• To understand how the site is used, so we can improve it.
• To measure whether our own advertising works — see section 5.
• To investigate problems, prevent misuse, and meet legal or accounting obligations.

We do not sell your personal information.

4. Who we share it with

• The pandit you book — your name, contact number, the ritual, the time, and the address for a home visit. They need this to turn up and perform the service.
• Razorpay, our payment gateway, which processes card, UPI and netbanking payments. Card and bank details are entered on Razorpay's own checkout and are never stored on our servers.
• Google Firebase, which sends and verifies the SMS one-time codes used for phone sign-in.
• MSG91, which delivers our SMS and WhatsApp messages. They receive your mobile number and the contents of the message being sent to you.
• Our email provider, used to deliver verification codes, password resets and booking emails.
• Google, through Google Analytics and Google Ads, which receive usage data and the identifiers described in section 5.
• Authorities, where we are legally required to disclose information.

5. Analytics and advertising measurement

We use Google Analytics to understand how people use the site — which pages are visited, in what order, and where visitors arrive from. It sets an identifier in your browser and records your activity on the site against it.

We also use Google Ads conversion tracking. When you complete a booking, we tell Google that a booking happened, along with its value and a booking reference. This is how we find out whether the advertising we pay for is working. We do not send your name, email address, mobile number or address to Google.

Two things this is not. We do not show advertising to you inside AaradhyaHub — there are no ads on this site or in the app. And we do not sell or hand over your personal information for anyone else to advertise to you. What is described here is measurement of our own campaigns.

These tools are Google's, and Google uses the data it receives under its own terms. You can opt out of Google Analytics across all sites using Google's browser add-on, and blocking third-party cookies or using an ad blocker will stop most of this collection. Nothing on the site depends on it — booking, payment and sign-in all work with it blocked.

6. Online consultations

Video consultations run directly between your device and the pandit's using a peer-to-peer connection. Our servers help the two sides find each other and relay the stream where a direct connection isn't possible. We do not record your consultations.

7. The Android app

The AaradhyaHub Android app shows this same website inside it, so everything in this policy applies there too. Three things are specific to the app:

• Camera. Android asks your permission for the camera only at the moment a page offers to take a photo — for example when you choose a profile picture. You can refuse and still pick an existing photo. We never open the camera on our own.
• Notifications. The app has a notification settings screen and will ask your permission there if you turn notifications on. Push delivery is not yet connected in the released app, so at present no push notifications are sent to it. The reminders you sign up for are delivered by WhatsApp or email as described above.
• What the app does not do.It does not read your location, contacts, call logs, messages or files, and it holds no advertising identifier. It requests no storage permission — choosing a photo goes through Android's own picker.

Uninstalling the app does not delete your account. See section 10.

8. Storage on your device

When you sign in, we store a session token and your basic profile in your browser's local storage so you stay signed in, along with small preferences such as your chosen reading script and text size. Clearing your browser data or signing out removes them. Google Analytics and Google Ads set their own identifiers as described in section 5; we set no advertising cookies of our own.

9. How long we keep it

We keep your account information for as long as your account exists. If your account is deleted, its bookings, reviews, favourites, wallet history and reminder subscriptions are deleted with it immediately and cannot be recovered — including any wallet balance, which is forfeited.

Two things are kept separately from your account and are not removed with it: our record of the messages and emails we sent you, which is how we can show what was sent and when; and Razorpay's own record of any payment, which belongs to them rather than to us.

10. Security

Passwords are stored only as salted hashes — never in readable form. Traffic between your device and our servers is encrypted in transit. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong password and tell us promptly if you think your account has been accessed by someone else.

11. Your choices

• You can view and update your profile details at any time while signed in.
• You can delete your account yourself, from My Account → Delete my account. It is immediate and permanent. What deletion removes and keeps explains it in full, including what to do if you can no longer sign in.
• You can ask us for a copy of your data, or ask us to correct it, by emailing support@aaradhyahub.com.
• A wallet balance is forfeited on deletion and cannot be refunded afterwards — use it, or email us, before you delete the account.
• You can turn off any reminder you have signed up for, at any time, from the observance it was set on.
• You can opt out of the analytics described in section 5 using Google's opt-out add-on or by blocking third-party cookies.

12. Children

AaradhyaHub is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will remove it.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the service changes. The date at the top shows when it was last revised, and significant changes will be notified in the app or by email.
