महत्व · Significance
Vinayak Chaturthi falls on the fourth tithi of the waxing fortnight, the counterpart to Sankashti in the dark half of the month. It is worshipped in the midday hours rather than after moonrise.
It is regarded as a favourable day to begin work, to open a business, or to start anything where a clear path matters.
पूजा विधि · How it is kept
- Bathe and install or clean the Ganesh murti.
- Perform the puja in the madhyahna, the midday period.
- Offer durva, modak and red flowers.
- Chant Om Gam Ganapataye Namah.
