महत्व · Significance
Saturday belongs to Shani Dev, and Shri Hanuman is worshipped alongside him — by tradition Hanuman ji can soften Shani’s severity.
It is kept especially by those under Sade Sati or Shani dhaiya. Sesame oil, black sesame and iron are the day’s offerings, and charity is considered as important as the puja.

- Offer sesame oil to Shani Dev, and light a lamp with it.
- Offer black sesame, urad dal and blue or black flowers.
- Read the Hanuman Chalisa.
- Give food or oil in charity — on this day the giving is the observance.
